The 2019 Drift Masters European Championship takes over Bikernieku Circuit in the heart of Riga, Latvia for the fourth round of six, in what has proven so far to be an explosive year of professional drifting.

A fan and driver favourite, the circuit here in Riga tests the Drift Masters roster’s ability from start to finish. With a fast initiation, daring transitions with little to no room for error and a unique semi-circle of concrete to finish off the lap, the circuit is as much the drivers’ opponent as they are each other’s.

Qualifying saw the lineup fall into a familiar formation, with the top four drivers hailing from Ireland. Jack Shanahan once again topped proceedings, with a 95-point run, closely followed by James Deane in P2 with 94 points, and Conor Shanahan in P3 with 92 points. Points leader Duane McKeever sits in P4 with 91 points, narrowly beating Gocha Chivchyan in P5, also with 91 points.
