Currently sitting second in the championship, Irish young-gun Conor Shanahan showed exactly why and that he’s not letting up in his chase for the 2022 Drift Masters European Championship (DMEC) title crown, as he laid down a 97-point run to top Qualifying here at Round 5 in Ferropolis, Germany.

The youngster Conor gave it his absolute all right from the off during today’s Qualifying session, with his highest-scoring run being his first run of the day, also guaranteeing himself maximum Qualifying points from the session as he chases his first DMEC championship victory.

Conor wasn’t the only happy Shanahan of the day though, as his older brother Jack finished up second narrowly behind Conor with a score of 96 points.

Rounding out the top 3, again just another single point behind, was fellow Irishman James Deane who put in a 95-point run to set himself up nicely for battle action tomorrow.

Our fourth and fifth place finishers in Qualifying would be Piotr Wiecek in fourth and Tor Arne Kvia in fifth, which sees our current Top 5 championship title contenders taking the top 5 places at the end of Qualifying. It’s pretty safe to say, this is going to be an incredible end to our 2022 championship fight.

So with an incredible Qualifying session now done, our Round 5 action returns from Ferropolis, Germany at 5.00pm local time (CET) with Top 32 battle action, exclusively live on Red Bull TV. Check out our full list of Qualifying results and tomorrow’s Top 32 battle bracket below, then make sure you tune in live tomorrow to all of the action here at the penultimate round of DMEC 2022.
